For Berwick community groups, arts and culture organisations, creative freelancers, and businesses interested in developing creative ideas and securing funding for projects in the local area.

Join us for a series of informal sessions over two days to understand more about Create Berwick, find out how to apply to our Creative Action Fund to bring your community arts idea to life, hear from experts and learn how to fundraise for your project or arts organisation.

Monday 22 April

  • Hear from Becci Murray about our Creative Action Fund, get advice and support with your application.
  • Join Judith King for a discussion on how festivals and events can optimise their relationship with artists and creatives.
  • Andrew Deuchar shares experiences from the Berwick Literary Festival and their work with artists, followed by a Q&A.
  • A community networking and discussion about how we can best connect the creative community of Berwick to optimise opportunities.

Tuesday 23 April

This day is organised and provided by Create Berwick in partnership with the National Arts Fundraising School.

This day is the perfect way to learn the skills you need to secure cash for you cause- from writing powerful proposals to setting up a credible crowdfunder and from asking high net worth individuals for support to clinching that sponsorship deal with a company. Whether you need £500 for your next small project or £5M to refurb your whole building this is a fabulous opportunity.
