Berwick Radio 101 - shaping the town's Community Radio Station
Do you want to be the next Greg James or Zoe Ball and take to the airwaves across Berwick? Well now’s your chance. As part of our work to teach new skills in the creative industries and open up pathways to employment, we’re launching a new Community Radio Station in Berwick.
On Wednesday 13 August we’re hosting the first in a series of one-day workshops that will teach people new skills in:
- Sound recording for radio/podcasts
- Presenting and running a radio station
- How to tell engaging and interesting stories.
And later that evening we’ll put those new found skills to the test by delivering a live radio show, broadcast in front of an audience, showcasing the voices, stories and creativity of Berwick-upon-Tweed.
We’ll also be asking for your views on what would make a great Community Radio Station in Berwick. What types of things should it cover, what stories should it tell.
Find out more and sign up to take part here.
And don’t worry if you can’t make the session on 13 August. We’ll be announcing two more one-day workshop dates very soon.
